Metest group
Metest began operations in 2006 on leased premises in the town of Tõrva, where we had just 300 m² of production space at our disposal.
Having focused from the very beginning solely on the manufacturing of sheet metal blanks, we quickly gained many customers who lacked their own in-house capability for cutting and bending sheet metal.
As the business grew, the need arose for larger and better production facilities, which meant significant investments. In 2009, we moved into a newly built 1000 m² production building next to the town of Karksi-Nuia, constructed specifically to meet our needs and designed to allow for future production expansion. Building on our customers’ positive feedback and growth in market volume, we seized the opportunity and began expanding our customer base, both toward exports and into new customer sectors.
Our customers are based in Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Latvia, and Lithuania. We manufacture products for a range of industries, including construction, shipbuilding, agriculture, forestry, energy, and mining.
The Metest Group was formed in 2017, when we founded the company OÜ Metest Steel, whose line of business is supplying customers with welded beams, primarily for the construction sector.
Metest Metall OÜ
Metest Metall opened its doors in 2006, initially offering only gas and plasma cutting, later expanded to include bending, laser cutting, milling, drilling, and threading. We have continuously developed our machinery, technologies, management structure, production space, and production efficiency in order to offer our customers the best and most sustainable service.
Metest Steel OÜ
The second company in our group, OÜ Metest Steel, was founded in 2017. Drawing on Metest Metall’s long-standing experience in the metal sector and many valuable contacts in Finland and Sweden, we had an excellent launching platform to begin manufacturing welded beams such as HQ beams, HSQ beams, WQ beams, H beams, and MeC beams. This required substantial investment — not only in equipment and buildings, but also in people and management structure.
